Laney and Garett’s story started long before either of them knew it would become a love story.

They’ve known each other for almost 20 years, with some of their earliest memories together dating all the way back to Laney chasing Garett around her sister's bedroom to kiss him... at 8 years old. Apparently, she knew what she wanted pretty early on.

In May of 2021, the two officially started dating and have been pretty much inseparable ever since. Over the years, they’ve grown up together, built a life together and created their little family with Ella and Charlie, who are easily the two most important parts of their world. Along the way came plenty of trips, new places and a shared love for anything with wheels and a little speed.

In October 2025, Garett proposed during a trip to Nashville with some of their closest friends, who will also all be a part of the big day.

Now, more than 15 years after Laney was chasing him around for a kiss, the two will finally become Mr. and Mrs. Church on April 10, 2027.
